be posting about ancient Rome and its battles, wars, peace, generals and soldiers. Rome was an ancient and fascinating state. It expanded from a small village in Italy into a vast empire covering much of the ancient world. The Roman armies could be found from Scotland to Egypt and anywhere in between. The Romans had an amazing history, spanning thousand years. The started out as a republic, but later became a vast empire with many different peoples inside its borders.
